Upper Prep (Age 8-11)
The upper part of the Prep School, which is for children aged 8– 11, also enjoys spacious well equipped classrooms.
As in the earlier years of their education, children in Upper Prep are taught by well -trained teachers in their classrooms for much of the curriculum. Music continues to be taught by a specialist music teacher and this includes teaching of a musical instrument. The children are taught by a specialist Science teacher in the laboratory, Robotics and Computer in their various rooms. The French teacher inspires the children to adopt a love for the language and culture.
Class teachers have special responsibility for the welfare of each child. This is immensely important as academic success is strengthened by careful nurturing which embraces the personal development and well-being of an individual child.
Cambridge Checkpoint
Cambridge Primary is an international education programme, typically for young learners aged 5 to 11 years and is used in primary schools around the world. It develops young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. The tests are marked in Cambridge and provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance.
Our Year Six Students (Prep 5) students sit for Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint test series each year, in April.
