Our Pre School provides a warm and gentle introduction to school life for pupils between fifteen months and 2 years. We strive to create a nurturing atmosphere that caters to each child’s individual needs, and to provide them with unconditional support regardless of religion, sex, race, behavior, or physical characteristics.
We provide an all-inclusive curriculum which includes open play, circle time, learning centers, snacks and story time, music and movement, visual art, drama and small group literacy and numeracy, project exploration, amongst other activities.
The Nursery Class is housed in friendly, welcoming purpose-built accommodation and is equipped to a high standard; it accommodates a maximum of 24 girls and boys between the ages of 2+ (from the term they turn 3) and 4+.
The children are given opportunities for structured and unstructured play and they learn through a range of first-hand experiences. In addition, they also have opportunities to develop learning skills, including numeracy and literacy, which help to ease their transition into the Reception Class.
There is a dedicated secure area for outdoor play. Role play equipment is available and also an area for looking at books and following quiet pursuits.
The Nursery Curriculum is followed and this is organized into seven areas of learning:
