SCHOOL ELECTIONS 2019/2020
As part of our ongoing commitment to make young people more aware about the principles of democracy and explain to them how to vote and why it is important to vote, school elections are held every year for various political positions in the school.
The idea is for students to gain a hands-on insight into how an election works, by running for office, creating manifestos, canvassing support, designing campaign posters and literature and then casting their votes.
Other pupils organize the election, including by registering voters, preparing the polling station, and counting the ballot papers.
