An application built around the right fit.
Admission to The Concord School involves more than academic ability. We want to ensure that the school is the right fit for every student and family.
Application forms are available from the Client Service Office. The admissions team will confirm the current application charge and documents required before a form is purchased. A child must meet the minimum age for the relevant year group.
Our goal is to see every new student grow and succeed in and beyond school, so we take care to maintain the environment in which that can happen.
Entrance assessment
What applicants should expect.
Applicants for Junior Secondary School 1, also known as Year 7, take three papers. Assessments for other year groups are based on the class for which the student is applying.
- 01English and verbal reasoning
- 02Mathematics and quantitative reasoning
- 03General knowledgeScience, computing, social studies and current affairs.
General entrance examinations are usually held between April and July. Additional sessions may be arranged at other times, depending on available places. Applicants should bring writing materials, a mathematical set and a non-programmable calculator.
Candidates are expected to achieve at least 60% in each paper. Passing the examination does not automatically guarantee admission because the school also considers the oral interview and the suitability of the placement.
Minimum ages
Minimum age by 31 August.
At the beginning of the school year in September, applicants should have reached the minimum age for their year group by 31 August of that year.
