Cambridge Primary

Cambridge Primary is an international education programme, typically for young learners aged 5 to 11 years and is used in primary schools around the world. It develops young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.

Cambridge Primary develops skills in English, mathematics, science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and ICT Starters. The curriculum is flexible with clear learning objectives.

Cambridge Primary helps our pupils by:

  • allowing teachers to assess their learning as they progress
  • developing their skills so that they are innovative, confident and engaged
  • preparing them for Lower Secondary Checkpoint and IGCSEs/International GCSEs
  • giving them a love of learning that will stay with them through school, university and beyond.

CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY CHECKPOINTS

Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests have been designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Primary. They are available in English, English as a second language, mathematics, science and Cambridge Global Perspectives. The tests give valuable feedback on learners’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education.

The tests are marked in Cambridge and provide schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance. Our Year Six (Preparatory 5) Pupils sit for Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint test series each year, in April.
